Coppicing Clay - Inspired by the tree cultivation techniques of coppicing, pollarding and grafting; participants will be using extruded "trunks" and "branches" to create tree like sculptural and/or functional forms.

We will explore clay construction methods as well as experimenting with surface decoration to create bark-like textures.

This workshop will run for 2 hours and is suitable for all ages. Please note that the workshop is for ages 7+ and all individuals under 16 must be accompanied by a paying adult, with 1 adult per 3 children.

The workshop space is located in the Clore Garden Studio on the ground floor in the Whitworth. The nearest entrance is the park entrance.
